A very personal journey — after having spent her life answering to others (cook this, brush that, carry me, lock it away) — director Maria Ilchovska discovered in Dada a language for rebellion. Freely adapted from Jean Arp’s poem “Cuis-moi un tonnerre,” the film transforms the endless imperatives of domesticity into surrealist acts of liberation. A femininity experienced as a trap becomes the raw material for a quiet revolution.
